Activity 1: A Long Walk to Freedom

Imagine that you are Mr. Mandela and you are in prison.
On your blog, write a diary entry pretending that you are Mr. Mandela. Please write at least four sentences to describe what it might be like in prison
See = I can see only a little amount of things.
Smell = I can't smell the fresh air
Hear = I can hear people crying
Taste = I can taste nothing at all.
Touch = I can touch the walls and bars stopping me from being free.

  1. Kia ora Ashaswi,

Another activity done and dusted! Well done. :)

I really like the way you've completed this activity, Ashaswi. You're the first Summer Learning Journey blogger that I've come across who has used the five sense to describe what being in prison might be like - very clever. :) I particularly like your 'touch' sentence.

Did you learn anything new about Nelson Mandela while doing this activity?

    Have a great day! :)

    Blog ya later,

    Mikey
