Holiday recount

The second week of holidays was really boring, I wanted to go to holiday school because then I wouldn't be bored but I couldn't because my mum was home.

My sister also stayed home and I don't know if that's an up or a down I wasn't even allowed online that much so that made it even more boring. Even when I was allowed online I had no idea what to do since 50% of my fyp was filled with sad tiktoks and I skipped those and the other half were ´jEsUs LoVeS yOu´ ´jEsUs DoSeNt SaY fOlLoW mE oR gO tO hElL, hE sAyS fOlLoW mE tO nOt gO tO hElL´ things and that was irritating. Not that I'm against Christians or something, it's just that it feels like they're forcing their religion on other people.

Timmus Elgoog (DEMON SLAYER BAG GUY/Heath!!)

Today I went to Hornby Primary for the Google Summit. Only some people from Ms. Rasin's Literacy were picked.

We had about 8-9 different sessions that we could choose from. We could only do 4 activities from all of them. But for Joel, Daisy, Ashton, and I, we could only pick 2 activities because we were presenting in 2 activity sessions.

In my first activity, I did Wedio...

Click on this or your a chicken!!!

I have been learning about fables.

In the boy who cried wolf, I think the wolf and the boy are the villains because...

The boy cried wolf the first time because he knew the villagers would be hopeful the first time because the villagers probably hadn't seen a wolf that much and then when the villagers found out that the boy was lying they would be mad at the boy. So the next time fewer people would come. So then the third time no one would come because they thought that the boy was a dirty filthy liar!

I think the wolf was behind a couple of bushes so when the boy cried wolf and the villagers didn't come he  (the wolf)came out of the bushes and ate the sheep. The wolf probably had rabies because it lived in the wild and rabid wolves are usually the types of wolves who attack humans but the wolf didn't eat the boy. So the boy was probably working for the wolf. Because after the villagers didn't come the boy either ran away or ran to fight the wolf. The boy probably didn't want to lose the sheep because then his master would fire him. But then the wolf didn't attack the boy so that why I think the wolf and the boy are the villains.

My shadow poetry response

#Finished?

The connections I can make to the poem is the song angel of darkness.😋

The poem is organized in 4 stanzas, each stanza has 4 lines.😲. The rhyming pattern of the poem is AABB, AABB, AABB, and AABB.😊

The tone of the poem is describing because it is describing the shadow.💐💎

The poetic devices I found in this poem are personification when it says "I see him jump before me" because doesn't your shadow do the exact same things that you do at the exact same time?. Some alliteration "very, very" because both of them begin with the same letter at the start they even begin ARE the same word! Also "at all" "sometimes shoots" "that there's" "at all"  "stays so" "Sadow sticks" "an arrant"... OOF that's aLOt of alliteration!😳

The meaning of the poem is how your shadow has to do your every move and how your shadow isn't free to do what it wants.😱

The poet want's us to think about how our shadow copies our every move without making a mistake I think? Well, it was what I thought while I was reading the poem!😮😣My Shadow by Robert Louis Stevenson | Kids poems, Funny poems, Poetry for kids

I wandered lonely as a cloud Poetry Response

# Unfinished
The connections I make to the title of the poem is a cloud all alone in the bright blue and sunny sky...😎😌

The poem is organized in 4 stanzas, each stanza has 6 lines.
The rhyming pattern of the poem is ABABCC, ABABCC, and ABABCC.😜😋

The tone of the poem is sad at the start because it says lonely as a cloud. 😔.Then it starts to get a bit happy 😊because then it says I saw a crowd (hopefully it wasn't to bully him or the tone would just be sad )-:)

The poetic devices I found in this poem, I found a simile "I wandered lonely as a cloud." I think I'm right because... well can you be as lonely as a cloud?😵>﹏<*-*^﹏^😬
Then I found 2 pieces of hyperbole~ "Golden daffodils"... Because ummm can they be golden? well if they are made of gold...?😵
Also "Ten thousand saw I at glance."Can you see ten thousand at a glance? Well if you counted them before you looked then guess soo?😶
I also found some personification "Fluttering and dancing in the breeze." and "The waves beside them danced." Well, I don't think they can dance? rIGhT!?😶😵^﹏^ >﹏< *-*
I also found some alliteration "Ten thousand" they begin with the same letter so I'm right? Right?😋👍✌

I don't know the meaning but the poet want's us to think about a cloud wandering around all alone then lot's of other clouds

If Poem Response

#Finished?😬😶 oof

The connections I can make to the title of the poem is a person asking someone else some questions.

The poem is organized in 4 stanzas, each stanza has 8 lines. The rhyming pattern of this poem is AAAABCBC, ABABCDCD,ABABCDCD and ABABCDCD.

The tone of the poem is encouraging, because, even though every line is different than the other, they all mean never give up, even when others say you can't do it. It also means that don't try to make enemies because then they might do something bad to you.

The poetic devices in ''If'" are...

  1. Hyperbole
  • You can keep your head when all about you are losing their heads. Because you can't lose your head and still be alive... I think. Also because I know it means when others are angry, not literaly losing their heads. 😳😵😳😳
  •  Meet with triumph and disaster. Because you can't really meet them at the same time, can you? 😵😳
  • Make dreams your master. How can dreams be your master? 😵😳
  • Watch the things you gave your life to broken and stoop and build 'em up with worn tools. Hmmm... You can't really give your life to someone or somthing and still be alive... Am I right? Proabbly am!😊

                2. Alleteration~Sixty Seconds. It starts with the same letter at the start so pretty sure I am right.😊                   👍✌😄💃

                3. Metaphor~ Make one heap of all your winnings. I don't know how but people wrote this in their blogs so I guess I'm right?😬😵😳😶 ^﹏^ ~_~ (^o^) *-* >﹏<

Why Rudyard Kipling's classic poem 'IF' is revered by Serena Williams | Classic poems, If rudyard kipling, Serena williams quotesThe meaning of the poem is to always belive in                                                                                                yourself and never give up. Also always be kind to                                                                                          people?😮😅

The poet wants us to think about how quickly we make enimies and give up I think...^﹏^

Sympathy Poem Response

The connections I can make to the title of the poem was someone being sympathetic to someone else

The poem is organized in 3 stanzas all of them have 7 lines
The first line rhymes like ABAABCC ABAABAA ABAABCC

The tone of the poem is angry and sad because it says "Till the blood is red on the cruel bars" and "And pain throbs in the old, ols scars". I also think that it might have some sympathy in it because the name is Sympathay.

It has Personifacation in it because it says "cruel bars" . I also found a simile "The river flows like a stream of glass".Also some Alliteration when he said " heaven he" and "Through the." Then now finally, Hyperbole such as "I know what the caged bird feels." I am not sure weather Paul meant- when he said,
"I know what the caged bird feels."- about the brusies or not.

I think the poet wants us to think about how we keep birds as pets, and put them inside tiny cages, when they are meant to fly across the sky.The meaning of the poem is the poet telling us how hard it is for a bid to live inside the cage.
